1858ء — زمانۂ تحریر ’’چچا کا خواب‘‘، زبان: رُوسی، اصل عنوان: Дядюшкин сон
1859ء — یہ ناول پہلی مرتبہ روسی ادبی جریدے ’’روسکائے سلوو‘‘ میں شائع ہوا۔
1888ء — فریڈ وِشا (Fred Whishaw) نے پہلی مرتبہ اس ناول کو "Uncle’s Dream" کے عنوان سے انگریزی زبان میں منتقل کیا۔ وہ روس میں پیدا ہونے والے ایک برطانوی ناول نگار، مؤرخ، شاعر اور موسیقار تھے۔ وہ نہ صرف مترجم تھے بلکہ انھوں نے دستوئیفسکی کو انگریزی دنیا سے متعارف کروانے میں بنیادی کردار ادا کیا۔ ان کے تراجم نے دستوئیفسکی کی تحریروں کو پہلی بار انگلش قارئین کے سامنے پیش کیا، اگرچہ بعد میں آنے والے مترجمین نے زیادہ معیاری اور مکمل ترجمے پیش کیے جن میں کونسٹینس گارنیٹ (Constance Garnett) اور آئیوی لت وِینوا (Ivy Litvinov) قابلِ ذکر ہیں۔
1950ء — ماسکو سے ’’فارن لینگویجز پبلشنگ ہاؤس‘‘ نے آئیوی لت وِینوا (Ivy Litvinov) کا انگریزی ایڈیشن "My Uncle’s Dream" کے عنوان سے شائع کیا جو روسی مصور وائے کراسنی (Y. Krasny) کے سکیچز سے مزین تھا۔ اُردو کی تازہ اشاعت میں شامل سکیچز اسی مصور ایڈیشن سے لیے گئے ہیں۔ خطّاط
1975ء — ظ انصاری نے ’’فیودور دستوئیفسکی کی کہانیاں‘‘ کے عنوان سے ایک کتاب مرتب کی، جس میں تین مختصر ناولوں ’’چچا کا خواب‘‘، ’’نہایت افسوس ناک واقعہ‘‘ اور ’’جواری‘‘ کا رُوسی زبان سے براہِ راست اُردو میں ترجمہ پیش کیا گیا۔ یہ طویل کہانیاں دستوئیفسکی نے اٹھارہویں صدی کی چھٹی اور ساتویں دہائی میں اس وقت لکھی تھیں جب ان کا کمال عروج پر تھا۔ یہ مجموعہ ’’دارالاشاعت ترقی، ماسکو‘‘ سے شائع ہوا۔
